The famous artist and Art Deco sculptor Demetre Haralamb Chiparus was born in Romania and spent his life in Italy and  France. His work was inspired by the French theatre as well as by the Russian ballet and it reflects the beauty of Art Deco. He also created several series of small children at the beginning of his career. But most of his work is characterised by the beauty of dancers and artists. But Demetre H. Chiparus was also very impressed by the Egyptian culture and therefore some of his sculptures are great images of impressive Egyptian culture.  Chiparus died in 1947 in Paris and was buried close to the beautiful capital of France.
