The Art Deco Sculpture of the Diana Bronze has been created by French artist Pierre le Faguays from 1920 to 1929. Diana is known as the Roman Goddess of the Hunt and the Moon, and as the Mistress of Animals. In her role of the hunting goddess, the dynamic and slender Diana is often portrayed as a huntress, armed with a bow and arrow. Apart from this portrayal as hunting goddess, it was a popular undertaking of artists of the 16th century to depict Diana with her brother Apollo.
