The goddess Diana is the Roman deity of hunting, wilderness, childbirth, and, in later times, the moon. She corresponds to the Greek goddess Artemis. In art, Diana is often depicted with a bow and arrow and sometimes accompanied by one or more dogs, emphasizing her role as a huntress.

All of our sculptures are also suited for the laying-out of a garden area, where they after a while get a bronze typical patina by weather.

Edward McCartan, the artist who created this wonderful large piece of art, was born on August 16, 1879 in Albany and died at the age of 68. Already as a young boy, Edward McCartan started his creative career by drawing various pictures and eventually beginning to create plastics. He studied under many renowned sculptors such as Herbert Adams and Hermon Atkins MacNeil and worked several years for them. In 1907 he moved to Europe, where he attended different prestigious universities and refined his skills. Many of Edward McCartan’s works are inspired by Ancient mythology as well as ornaments and nature.
