Art Deco Statue - Middle Eastern Sword Dancer - signed Preiss

This decorative Art Deco bronze statue tells the fascinating tale of a Middle Eastern sword dancer, which was cast from the finest bronze and originally designed by Ferdinand Preiss during the first half of the twentieth century. The beautiful, exotic dancer, who is dressed in flowing robes and elaborate jewellery. She stretches her arms far into the sky, with a sword in each hand that is an integral part of her performance. As a result, the decorative Art Deco figurine gives off an erotic aura that makes the elaborate and exotic motif even more fascinating for the observer. The Middle Eastern sword dancer stands on a small carpet that rests on the green marble base on which the signed bronze statue is placed. Thus, it becomes an active part of the overall motif.
