The Chinese dragon Lóng is said to be the most famous mythical creature in Chinese mythology. Thus, the symbol of the dragon has been embedded in Chinese culture for centuries. The fabled dragon figure owes its godlike status to the numerous myths and legends that can be found all over Eastern Asia. Martin Klein’s Bronze Chinese Dragon Head uses this symbolism and presents it as a decorative piece of contemporary art. Placed on a discreet green marble base, the dragon figurine is mainly characterised by a multilayered presentation that is topped off by the surface design of the dragon’s head.
