The pompous sculpture depicts the alluring figure of a beautiful revue dancer, who is placed on a slender green marble base. The female figurine is made from 100% bronze and is characterised by a fascinatingly detailed design. The depicted materials are perfectly recreated and the physiognomy of the dancer is portrayed in a natural way. The solid bronze figurine has a height of around 75 cm. The Art Deco sculpture effectively embodies the French attitude towards life during the Twenties. The opulent dancer was designed by Demetre H. Chiparus and thus bears the signature of the artist.
