Art Deco Bronze "The Amazon" on Marble by Pierre le Faguays

This is a beautiful Art Deco Bronze Sculpture, which is named "The Amazon". It was made by the French sculptor Pierre le Faguays and is a great example of the Modern Art in this epoch. It mirrors a young, strong female, carrying a sword in her right hand and stands in an athletic pose in which she has lifted her left leg and both arms. The powerful figurine is worked into much detail, therefore the folds on her skirt and her hair, which is waving in the wind, seem very realistic. The impressive sculpture is set on a small marble plinth that is polished, increasing the elegance of this strong figure. The piece of art is made of 100% bronze and dark marble and is signed by its sculptor Pierre le Faguays.
