Modern Sculpture - Family - signed by Botero

This sculpture with the simple name "Family" is signed by Botero. The bronze casting is made of 100% finest bronze by using the lost wax technique. The sculpture "Family" bears the hallmark of Botero: The bulky father is holding the hand of his small fat son and the chubby little daughter is sitting on her big mothers lap and a little heavy cat is sitting beside the whole corpulent family. The chubby family, made of bronze, is fixed on a squared marble base. This contrast of shape and material makes this sculpture a real eye-catcher. The whole production process of our fancy "Family"- sculpture was controlled by us, because we want to ensure the high quality of our products.

Fernando Botero was born in Colombia in 1932. The young Botero first exhibited his work in 1948, the year he started to earn money with his illustrations. His first "big job" was an illustration for the Sunday supplement of a local newspaper. Today Fernando Botero is one of the most popular artists of the world. His sculptures and paintings of chubby humans and animals made him famous. His great style was inspired by the work of the great master Rubens. The German producer Peter Schamoni already documented the life of Botero with the film "Botero- Born in Medellin" which was first shown in 2008 in Munich, Germany.
