Edgar Degas is well known as sculptor, painter and graphic designer. He was born in Paris on July 19, 1834 in Paris, France and started studying law after he finished school, but never finished it. Degas was always interested in French culture and art and he wanted to become an artist as well. Even he studied law because it was his fathers wish his father supported his fish to become an artist. After he quitted law Edgar Degas started to study drawing at the Ècole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His work was influenced by the Impressionism, which he founded together with other artists and by the Realism- his preferred style. Degas dies on September 27, 1917 in Paris, France.
