The Frenchman was born 12 June 1824 in Anizy-le-Château, and became one of the biggest decorative sculptors of his time. His friendship with Auguste Rodin had a vast influence on a huge part of his career. Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse died 3 June 1887 in Sèvres.
