Product description

"Resignation - Abstract Sculpture - Homage to S. Dali, signed"

Weight 5,2 kg

The abstract sculpture “Resignation” is a high quality bronze object that was created as a homage to the amazing Surrealism artist Salvador Dali (* May 11, 1904 Figueres, Catalonia; † January 23, 1989 ibidem). The exhibit was made of 100% finest bronze and is showing a part of face designed like a mask as well as a hand that covers parts of the face. “Resignation” is a modern art bronze that reaches a high effect with only a very few details. The realistic and naturally designed head and the very natural looking facial impression do make this bronze being a very modern and realistic sculpture. “Resignation” got signed and affixed on a solid marble pedestal. Because the artist used the material bronze to create this timeless modern art exhibit the bronze looks very noble.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

The Spanish graphic designer, writer, sculptor, painter and set designer Salvador Domènec Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, Marquis de Púbol was one of the best known artists in history. He was a representative of the Surrealism and a very eccentric artist. Dali was born on Mai 11, 1907 in Figueres in Catalonia and this was also the place he died on January 23, 1989. Salvador Dali created a lifework that is still discussed kind on controversy because his style was characterized by surreal pictures of burning giraffes and melting watches. His most beloved subject was the world of the subconscious. Dali got buried at his hometown Figueres inside the crypt of his own museum, the “Dalí Theatre and Museum”. The day he died he bequeathed some of his artwork as well as some of his estates to the state of Spain.
