His childhood fascination with the interplay of riverlight on tiled rooftops led him to pursue formal training at the University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Fine Arts, where he mastered the foundations of anatomy and composition. Residencies in Rome enriched his understanding of classical form, while years spent amid New York’s avant-garde circles emboldened him to embrace abstraction and expressive minimalism. In his Tagus-view atelier, he distilled these experiences into the bold elegance of the Two Abstract Dancers.

The original clay model took shape in Milo’s riverside studio, refined over weeks of careful modeling until each sinewy contour conveyed both strength and grace.
