"Big Centaur Bronze on marble-base, Greek Mythology C.B.Aibert"
This big centaur bronze on marble-base is a legendary sculpture of Greek Mythology. The sculpture pictures an up-grown and strong centaur while stealing a young virgin. The shown scenery was a well composed by C. B. Aibert, a famous artist and sculptor. The mythology sculpture is very impressive because of many filigree details. The sculpture was produced as filigree as possible and there is almost no difference in comparison to the original. The amazing sculpture of a mystical theme of Greek Mythology was produced by using 100% finest bronze material. To complete the big centaur bronze on marble-base the sculpture was affixed on a decorative marble-base.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
The centaur, like the one the sculptor C. B. Aibert created here, is an incredible creature. The centaur is part of the Greek Mythology and also known as hippocentaur. The creature centaur is on one hand human and on the other hand horse. Because of the half-animal half-human being, the centaur is mentioned as a creature with two natures and the centaur was often mentioned in literature. The female counterpart of the centaur is named Kentaurides but this creature wasn't mentioned in literature of early Greek times. The Kentaurides just come up in later antiquity. Different images and pictures of the centaurs were made by the great artists Michelangelo or Phidias.
