"Hermes Bronze Statue - Giambologna- Greek Mythology"
This is a very good looking sculpture of Hermes, the messenger of gods by Giambologna. The shape of the sculpture of the young Hermes is very dynamic and attractive. The Greek messenger of gods is standing on a nice marble base on one foot and he is holding his caduceus in his hand and he is wearing his famous winged hat. This pretty nice sculpture is an eye-catcher in every art collection and a very nice piece of Greek Mythology. Because of its size, the sculpture is even great for the exterior design. And if this Hermes sculpture is placed at the outside, the bronze will get its typical bronze patina.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
Hermes, the son of Zeus and Pleiade Maia, a daughter of Atlas, is better known as Hermes- the messenger of gods. Hermes is part of the Greek Mythology and was born in Arcadia. The symbols of Hermes are the winged sandals as well as the winged hat, the rooster, the tortoise and the caduceus he is holding in his hands. The god Hermes is the guide to the underworld, but also the patron of boundaries and a patron of shepherds as well as of cowherds.
