Georgeous bronze sculpture - The Kiss - inspired by G. Klimt

The Kiss is one of the best known paintings of Gustav Klimt and of the period of Art Nouveau. The motive and the painting itself is one of the most reproduced pieces of art. The painting was made in 1908 during the 'Golden Phase' of the painter. The sculpture is a beautiful tree-dimensional reproduction of the work of Klimt. The sculpture made of 100% bronze is a very detailed and filigree figure with many lovely decorations. Furthermore the sculpture is a very realistic image of the kissing couple the artist Klimt portrayed. Our lovely reproduced sculpture is affixed on a classy marble-base.

The artist Gustav Klimt was born on July 14, 1862 close to Vienna, Austria. As a famous painter Gustav Klimt was also well known as a representative of the Vienna Secession. The Symbolist painter Klimt was one of the most beloved artists of the turn of the century. The work of Klimt as an artist was characterized by different periods like the Vienna secession years or the "Golden Phase". The work of the painter is often esteemed by phallic shapes as well as by erotic positions of the painted humans. This is mentionable and visible in his pictures like Judith, painted in 1901 and of course in The Kiss, painted 1907-1908. Klimt died on February 6, 1918. In 2012 the city Vienna will celebrate the birthday of the famous son of the city with a huge and very special exhibition all over the city to honour the great painter Gustav Klimt.
