"Acrylic painting - Skyline of Manhattan IV / New York - M. Klein"
During his trip to the USA, the Saxon artist Martin Klein dealt with the theme of the New York skyline several times. The result is a five-part series of abstract oil paintings that show the skyline of Manhattan. Abstract contours and the use of darker colors are characteristic of Klein's skyline series. The New York skyline is probably the best known silhouette in the world and has inspired numerous photographers and painters. The adjoining artwork was created during Klein's trip to the USA and is signed at the bottom right with "M. Klein".
