Modern Art- Animal Sculpture - Deer Couple - signed, Milo

The "Deer Couple" is a very special Modern Art sculpture, made of 100% bronze and signed by the artist Milo. The sculpture consists of two connected deers, which are looking in the same direction. The two deers are standing in a row and only one feature distinguished them: Only one deer has a pair of antlers. The characteristic of this bronze sculpture is the squared form of the deer couple. Nevertheless the sculpture looks kind of realistic. This animal sculpture was made by the very elaborate lost wax casting. But we have controlled every single step of the production to ensure high quality.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

The artist and sculptor Milo (Miguel Vernando Lopez) was born in 1955 in Lisbon. The artist Milo was interested in art ever since he was a little boy. Thus he decided to study art and sculpture at the University of Lisbon. Because Milo was very talented he sold first sculptures during his time as a student. Later he became a freelance artist and nowadays Milo is working all over Europe and together with our foundry. The art of Milo is focused on modern art bronze figures, great nude sculptures and of course nice animal sculptures like the "Deer Couple". The artist is still living in his birthplace in Lisbon in a small, lovely and beautiful suburb of the home town.
