Modern Art Sculpture - Roman Warrior - signed Fernando Botero

This "Roman Warrior" is a very fancy Modern Art sculpture, which is signed by Botero. The chubby Warrior is undressed, but he is carrying a helmet and a shield but no weapon or shoes. The strong Warrior is standing on a marble base and he seems very resolute. The sculpture is made of 100% bronze and signed by Botero. The "Roman Warrior" is a real eye catcher and suitable for the inside and the outside. This expressive "Roman Warrior" was made by the lost wax casting. It needs approximately 40 single steps to produce such a sculpture, but we have controlled every single step of the production.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

The design of this "Roman Warrior" was invented by Fernando Botero- the best known figurative artist of Latin America. Botero was born on April 19, 1932 in Colombia and is a well-known sculptor and a great painter. Fernando Botero was the second children of three children. He spent his childhood in Medellin, where he was bon. The young Botero published a first illustration in 1948, when he was 16. He started to earn money for his illustrations and used it to attend the school "Liceo de Marinilla de Antioquia". Fernando Botero was working a long time as a painter and illustrator until he became a sculptor in 1976. He quickly found he amazing characteristicstyle and also become famous as a sculptor. Nowadays he is known as "the most Colombian of Colombian artists"- like he titled himself.
