The famous Columbian figurative artist Fernando Botero was born in 1932. He is working as painter and as sculptor. The young Botero was first exhibited in 1948. He moved to Paris in 1953 for studying the art of the Louvre and he is still living in Paris. Botero is well known for his round and opulent sculptures. Some of his sculptures were exhibited in Berlin, Germany in 2007. Botero is also a well known painter and such an important person of the present time that the German producer Peter Schamoni documented the life of Fernando Botero with the movie "Botero- Born in Medellin" in 2008.
