Abstract Animal Sculpture - Sitting Rhino - signed Milo

The abstract animal sculpture „Sitting Rhino“ was made after the great idea of the famous Portuguese artist Milo, who focused on creating animal sculptures. The Modern art Animal Sculpture is an unusual and  lightly abstract depiction of a sitting rhinoceros and even the abstract surface is provided with some edges. Milo decided to equip the surface of the bronze sculpture with some furrows. A special eye-catcher of this sculpture is the sitting position of the animal as this is a very unusual position for a rhinoceras. To make this sculpture perfect the Portuguese sculptor Milo decided to affix the animal figure, which is made of 100% finest bronze, on a perfectly shaped, high marble-base. The result is a modern handcrafted animal sculpture that is signed by the artist Milo.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

The Portuguese artist Milo, who was born in Lisbon, studied art and sculpting and decided to focus on creating Modern Art, animal sculptures and great erotic bronze figures. After Milo graduated he started to work as a freelance artist and is nowadays well-known all over Europe. His sculpture with the wonderful name “Sitting Rhino” is a result of the innovative ideas of the artist. Rhinos belong to the biggest land-living animals after the elephant. These animals are herbivores and eat grass and foliage, depending on the race. The natural living space of rhinos is in Asia and Africa. The animals are known as lone wolfs, but they come together during the mating season. The gestation period is 18 month and usually one little rhino is born. The birth rate is quite low and the continued existence was save, until humans started to hunt the rhinos because of their horn. The huge animals don’t have any natural enemys, their only enemys are humans.
