"Animal Sculpture - Two Owls - signed by Milo"
This appealing animal sculpture was created by the Portuguese artist and sculptor Milo. It shows two owls, sitting on a rock. The bigger owl sits above the smaller one and it seems like it is protecting the owl below. The smaller owl could be the child of the bigger owl, that teaches the offspring. Interested and expectant both birds look to the front, curious to see what the beholder will do. The scene seems very idyllic and relaxed because the figure is designed lifelike. Especially the feathers of the owls are made in detail and seem very naturally and realistically. The ledge on which the two birds are sitting on, is set on a red ashlar shaped marble plinth. The animal sculpture consists of 100% bronze and will be an enchanting eye-catcher in each collection of animal figures. Of course it is signed by its creator Milo.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
Bronze Animal Sculptures for Sale
The Portuguese sculptor and artist Milo created this beautiful and enchanting animal bronze, which portrays two owls. Milo was born under the entire name Miguel Fernando Lopez on June 12, 1955 in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. He already early became interested in art and studied at the University of Lisbon art and learned there the handicraft of sculpture, which he to date makes with great pleasure. He works as a freelance artist throughout Europe and we are proud that he regularly sculpts for our foundry. In doing so, he makes Modern Art sculptures and nude and animal figures. He is often inspired by the beauty of nature and the varied animal kingdom, like we can see at this beautiful animal sculpture “Two Owls”. Owls are nocturnal animals and an order in the animal kingdom. So there are a huge amount of different species, that live on all continents of the earth except of the Antarctica. In the German language there are two terms: “Eule” (owl) and “Kauz” (tawny owl), in which they are derived from onomatopoeia of the bird’s sounds. “Eule” or owl remind of the howling bird call, whereas “Kauz” follows the short and striking bird calls. The word “Eule” (owl) means small owl, “Kauz” (tawny owl) instead of this describes stocky and plump owl birds. But in no other European language are there two names for this one order. Owls are predatory birds, eating mice, snakes, frogs, snails, bats and big beetles. There are two families of owls: the barn-owls and the true or typical owls. Especially the eyes of owls, looking to the front, have led to different myths and blood-curdling tales.
