The sculpture was made after a great idea of famous sculptor Edgar Degas, modern art artist and creator of countless impressive figures. The "Schoolgirl" on marble-base is a celebration for your eyes! The sculpture is placed on a square shaped marble-base and signed on the base of the bronze with "Degas". The sculpture is made of finest bronze material, casted in our foundry in an amazing agreement to the original and is a focal point in every exhibition! The sculpture is an absolute eye-catcher for friends of bronze sculptures or collectors of Modern Art.

As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

Edgar Degas was born on July 19, 1843 in Paris and was well-known as painter, sculptor and graphic artist, who were always impressed by the French culture and the French art. After he finished school the young Edgar started to study law, but never finished it. Instead of learning everything about the law he wanted to become an artist. Even his father wanted him to study law he also supported the wish of his son and helped him to get his first studio. During his lifetime Degas created many impressive sculptures, great portraits, nice graphics and many drawing. One of his most famous work as sculptor is the sculpture “Little Dancer of Fourteen Years”. Degas died on September 27, 1917 in Paris.
