Martin Klein (* 1979)

is a young painter and sculptor from Saxony, Germany. Klein grew up in a solid parents` home in Bischofswerda. His father works as a craftsman and early discovered Klein`s artistic interest.

After graduation, he moved to Berlin where studied business administration. In his leisure time, he produced first bronze sculptures. For a one-year stay in Australia, he interrupted his studies.

The life of Martin Klein

In Australia, he worked on various farms and dealt in detail with the art of the country and the Australian aborigines. After graduating, he moved together with his partner in the Saxon capital Dresden.

During his Australian visit, he decided to devote more attention to the art. In Dresden he worked alongside painting with the creation of three-dimensional art objects. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts and worked in an art gallery, to finance his second degree.

Influences on his works

In that art gallery, he presented his first works. His exhibition was a success; in particular its modern sculptures provoke admiration.

His repertoire is broad and varied: It is ranging from abstract oil paintings to modern sculptures with humorous and erotic motifs. His work has been exhibited in a number of small regional and national exhibitions. Among lovers of modern, ironic sculptures Klein enjoys a reputation as a talented young artist.

He produces modern, sometimes humorous sculptures. His abstract art paintings depicting mainly landscapes and modern woman acts are characterized by unexcited color designs. Its various acrylic mixing and filling techniques give his works a distinctive character.

The artist works with different materials. In addition to bronze sculptures he also manufactures modern fiberglass sculptures. He draws inspiration from cartoon drawings, pop art, cubism, abstract and modern art, and the artistic tradition of China, which he reinterpreted and intense colors.
