Cupid is the child-like God of Love who has a cheeky sense of humour. His arrows are aimed directly at the heart and evoke feelings of love. No one can escape the impact of his arrows. If you are struck by love, everything else takes second place. This garden sculpture brings love into your garden. The mischievous look of the young angel watches over your premises and ensures that any visitor to your garden is reminded of love. The golden highlights of the garden sculpture on a marble base accentuate the typical characteristics of Cupid and leave no doubts about who is depicted. The curly hair, bow and arrow and the scantily clad body immediately give him away.
 
Like all of the Roman and Greek statues for sale in our shop, this exhibit is also cast by hand and subject to our strict quality guidelines during its production. Furthermore, all of our sculptures are exclusively produced by using the lost wax technique and are made of 100% bronze.
 
Auguste Moreau was born in 1834 in Paris, France's city of love, where he spent most of his life. He was the son of the famous painter Jean-Baptiste Moreau. Moreau distinguished himself with his graceful style. He created numerous playful and imaginative sculptures. His first exhibition in 1861 was a big success. The artist Auguste Moreau died in 1917.
