Proud Bronze Lion - Lion Sculpture – Rembrandt Bugatti

This extraordinary bronze animal sculpture is a true eye-catcher. It depicts a lion with a crude sculptural body whose muscles are delicately worked out and radiate an impressive power. A special focus of this animal statue is the lion's mane, which is carved out in a very detailed way and which is designed in the Art Deco style. Well-groomed and with clear edges, the mane is in contrast to the rest of the lion's depiction. Nonetheless, the lion's body and mane are in perfect harmony. This combination of two styles gives the lion a proud and regal look. Therefore, it is a piece of art that is fitting for a lion. This bronze animal sculpture is limited to 20 pieces.

Like all of the other animal sculptures for sale in our shop, this exhibit is cast by hand and is subject to our strict quality guidelines during its creation. Additionally, all the statues for sale are produced by using the lost wax technique.


Rembrandt Bugatti (1884-1916) was an Italian sculptor who got most of his inspirations from the animal world. Bugatti is seen as one of the pioneers of the Art Deco style and was quite influential. He is the younger brother of the automotive manufacturer and designer Ettore Bugatti. Among other things, Rembrandt Bugatti created the famous radiator mascot, a standing elephant, of the Bugatti Type 41 "Royale", for his brother.
