The original of this art object was designed by the French artist Marcel Bouraine. Shown is a naked woman caressing a gazelle, both the gazelle and the female nude are graceful, slender-built and long-legged. They are mounted on a black, two-stepped marble base and the sculpture ensemble bears the artist's signature.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
Marcel Bouraine was born in 1886 in Pontoise, France. The city is located in the north-western suburbs of the beautiful city Paris and became a famous centre for artists during the second part of the 19th century. The artwork of Marcel Bouraine, who also sometimes used the synonym, synonymous Marcel-André Derenne, was characterized by the Realism and by the ordinary life of Bouraine. The artist, who died in 1948 in France, exhibited at the „Salon des Tuileries“ and at the „Salon d'Autommn“.
