Feminine Nude Torso - Unique - Contemporary Bronze Sculpture - M.Klein

A minimalistic design and an opulent surface structure - the German sculptor Martin Klein combined both of these components in his modern bronze sculpture Unique and has thus created a fascinating piece of contemporary art. Placed on a discreet marble base that matches the patina, the shape of this feminine nude torso has been heavily abstracted by the artist. This reduction to only the most important bodily characteristics creates a harmonious overall motif. However, this minimalism is suspended by the almost explosive surface design. An elaborately produced two-layer vortex patina highlights this bronze torso, which is limited to 20 pieces and serially numbered. This special patina is also where the opulent bronze figurine got its name. Klein named this sculpture Unique in order to describe the uniqueness every one of the sculptures gets due to this special patina process. Polishings at the upper end of the statue and at the base give this feminine torso its final touch.
