"Art Deco Bronze "Boy with Hoop" on marble base, by Chiparus"
Pictured is a sweet-styled Art Deco Bronze on marble base, created by the famous and well-known master of Art Deco: Demetre Haralamb Chiparus. It displays a little schoolboy, playing with his toy- a hoop. The boy is playing, his face is smiling and a happy situation is shown, while he runs behind the rolling ring. Standing on a flat marble base, this figure is made of finest bronze material, cast in our foundry in an amazing agreement to the original. The artist signed his name on the upper side of the bronze socket. A truly detailed museum bronze cast and a focal point in every exhibition! The sculpture is an absolute eye-catcher amongst lovers of bronze sculptures, Art Deco collectors and admirers of the art of D.H. Chiparus.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.

Demetre Haralamb Chiparus, as the artist is actually called, was born on September 19, 1886 in Dorohoi, Romania, and spent most of his life in Paris. There, he attended the local college of Fine Arts, the École des Beaux Arts and also exhibited his works there. It is especially chryselephantines - sculptures made of metal and ivory - that were D.H. Chiparus' specialty. The artist put a lot of emphasis on decoration and not on the actual sculpting of his figures. D.H.
