Spectaculars at Times Square - Oil on Canvas - M. Klein

The large, illuminated billboards at the Times Square are called "spectaculars". This is also the title of the adjoining painting that was designed by the Saxon artist Martin Klein during his U.S. trip. Pictured is a detail of the famous Time Square in New York City. The Times Square is the most famous intersection in the world, between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. The Times Square is known for its light and billboard advertising, which are located at the buildings of the intersection.

Martin Klein (*1979 in Bischofswerda, Germany) is studying Arts and in addition to his studies, he also worked as a successful painter and sculptor. His repertoire is broad and varied: It is ranging from abstract oil paintings to modern sculptures with humorous and erotic motifs. His work has been exhibited in a number of small regional and national exhibitions. Among lovers of modern, ironic sculptures Klein enjoys a reputation as a talented young artist.
