""The Bender" Art Deco Bronze Figure, signed J. de Roncourt"
Weight | 8,3 kg |
The Art Deco sculpture ”The Bender” (Le Bendeur) was originally created by the French sculptor Jean de Roncourt. “The Bender” is a detailed and realistic image of a well trained athlete who is bending a steel pole. This is one of the best known sculptures from the artist de Roncourt who became famous for his male nude sculptures. The shown exhibit was made of 100% bronze and is showing an almost naked human, only dressed with a loincloth. The bronze Art Deco figure got perfected with the signature of its creator as well as with a flat marble base.
As all of the bronze products in our shop, this exhibit is hand-cast in our own foundry and subject to our strict quality inspections throughout the entire process of fabrication. All of our sculptures are exclusively compounded with the help of lost-wax casting.
