Art Deco sculpture "The Carrier Pigeon" signed Amedeo Gennarelli

This beautiful bronze Art Deco sculpture "The Carrier Pigeon" was created by Amadeo Gennarelli around 1920. It shows a young nude athletic woman, sitting on a tall and special shaped marble plinth. She has raised her arms and looks to the side, on her hand sits a carrier pigeon. It seems like she is trying to send the pigeon to her lover with a message, or maybe she got one from him. She reveals the uncovered feminine beauty of her body while her legs are graceful closed and her arms make a filigree and lovely gesture. Her tempting and joyful appearance is stressed by her sensual flowing curly long hair. The Art Deco figurine of this wonderful and amazing young woman consists of 100% bronze and dark marble and is signed by its artist Gennarelli.

The famous and very aesthetic Art Deco work of art "The Carrier Pigeon" was designed by Amedeo Gennarelli, an Italian sculptor. He was born in 1881 in the beautiful city Naples in the south of Italy. He is known all over the world for his Art Deco sculptures and figures that are great examples of his artistic talent and his accomplished mastery. Besides some big monuments, Amedeo Gennarelli's work also consist of various different small bronzes and figurines which are filled with the spirit of Modern Arts in a time of departure and changing. The qualified artist also lived in Paris, where he exhibited his works of art in the salons of the Sociétédes ArtistesFrançais. He was a much respected member of artist groups in Europe and died in 1943.
